Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre has appointed Parkland MP Dane Lloyd to lead the party's campaign to convince Albertans to vote to stay in Canada in the upcoming referendum. Lloyd — Alberta caucus chair and the party's national security adviser — will work with Poilievre and the Conservative Alberta caucus to listen to Albertans and make the case for a united Canada.
In a letter to Lloyd obtained by the National Post, Poilievre wrote that the task is "not to scold Albertans" but to hear their legitimate concerns while showing that a better deal is possible within Confederation — with more pipelines, lower taxes, safer streets, and stronger borders.
